We're Back! What to Expect From Season 5 of The Private Practice Pro Podcast
When I went on maternity leave with my second son, Henry, I pressed pause on this podcast without knowing how long the break would last. Henry turns three next month. So yes, I took a three-year break, and I am so incredibly excited to be back here with you for season five of The Private Practice Pro podcast.
A lot has happened in those three years. I became a working mom of two while running my practice and my consulting business and keeping all of it afloat, and the therapy industry changed right alongside me.
A lot has changed for therapists in private practice since the last season
Big tech has grown more than ever, AI has grown, and there are so many new ways to market and promote your practice. We've watched therapist influencers rise, and we've seen practices grow in ways that look really different than they did the last time this show was on air. It has been so fun to watch it all unfold, and it also means a lot of what worked three years ago deserves a fresh look in 2026.
I wanted season five to be built around what you need right now
When I ran the first four seasons, almost every episode was an interview. We had some amazing guests, and I'd encourage you to go back and listen. But when I sat down to plan season five, I wanted to be really intentional about the kinds of episodes I create, so this season has three types.
Solo episodes with me. Each episode, you and I dig into one big topic happening in our industry. In the first few, I'm breaking down the patterns I'm seeing after coaching literally thousands of therapists on how to fill their practices, the biggest mistakes I'm seeing people make in 2026, and what you should be doing right now to keep your caseload full.
Coffee talks with Amanda. Amanda is my marketing director and also my best friend, and there's nobody I know who understands digital marketing, websites, search engine optimization, and social media the way she does. She has helped me grow as a therapist who also has an online presence, and in these episodes we take concepts that feel complicated and turn them into manageable steps you can actually take.
Private practice breakdowns. I look at a listener's website, practice, and marketing strategy and tell you in real time what I would do to keep that caseload full. If you'd love to have your practice featured, email me at admin@theprivatepracticepro.com.
And every so often, I'll sit down for an interview with someone I think you really need to know.
This podcast is for you and the practice you're building
My goal with this show is to keep it focused on you, the therapist sitting in your office wondering how you're going to keep your caseload full in today's world, rather than on promoting experts and their courses. I'm here for it, and I promise you, I am not having any more babies, so there won't be another three-year break.
If you'd love more support while you build, twice a month I hop on Zoom with the therapists inside the Private Practice Club to answer their real questions in real time. If it feels like the right time for you, I'd love to see you inside. And if it doesn't feel like the right step yet, that's completely okay too. Listening along is a great place to start.
I'd love to know what you want to hear about this season. Send me a message on Instagram and tell me where you're feeling stuck in your practice right now.
❤️

About Kelley Stevens, LMFT
Kelley Stevens is a licensed marriage and family therapist and the founder of The Private Practice Pro, where she has supported more than 3,000 therapists in building cash-pay private practices. She started out making $16 an hour and went on to open three successful private practices in three different cities, and now she spends her time helping other therapists do the same. Her heart is the Private Practice Club, a membership community where therapists get two live Q&A calls with Kelley every month, a welcome 1:1 coaching call when they join, guest trainings, her signature courses, and a private space to connect with other therapists building alongside them. She's a mom of two, and as someone with ADHD, she loves a good plan.
